Build outward from the appointment

Increase the buffer for luggage, children, reduced mobility, unfamiliar transport, or peak heat. A generic arrival estimate is less useful than one built for the actual party.

Then work forward. Decide which areas to visit after the palaces and how long they deserve without turning the route into a race. Check current opening times and accessible paths. The Generalife is not an adjoining room: distance, slopes, and orientation all matter. Keep a margin before a meal, train, or later attraction, especially when it requires crossing Granada.

Prepare for disruption without assuming staff can move the appointment. Keep the official link, map, and confirmation offline; identify the correct access point and ask on-site staff when uncertain. Late arrival does not create a right to another slot. The best schedule therefore protects the fixed appointment instead of maximizing the number of planned activities.
